| Producing
and recording music is what Glen Teeple loves to do. He brings an
open-minded and relaxed approach to each project, thriving on the
variety that comes through his doors with each artist and band.
As a songwriter and musician himself, Glen understands how important
it is to make sure songs are translated to a finished CD with the
emotion and power that the artist envisions. Establishing the Music
Room as a comfortable, creative workspace for a diverse range of
projects was the fulfilment of a long-time dream.Growing
up in a musical family, Glen has been singing, playing instruments,
and experimenting with sound technology from a very young age.
Glen
was the guitarist of the band Elim
Hall which toured throughout North America during the eighties.
They recorded two international releases in world class studios,
achieving critical acclaim for pushing sonic, musical, lyrical,
and performance boundaries. The nineties saw Glen performing, recording
and writing with the bands One Hundred Days, The Virgins, Special
Division, and Phoebe Jean, building a diversity of talent as well
as a comprehensive knowledge of the music industry.
The
techniques of recording have always interested Glen. From early
experimentation of overdubbing on two tape recorders, to the later
production of 4 and 8 track demos for bands, he was always learning
new ways to creatively manipulate sound. He graduated from the Ontario
Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART)
and taught there the following year, solidifying his theoretical
and practical knowledge of audio. For many years Glen worked for
professional audio equipment and musical instrument retailers. He
opened The Music Room in 1998 and since then has been successfully
producing music CDs for a growing number of satisfied clients. |
